TRANSLUCENCE Collection

This collection is hand carved from alabaster, a pearly translucent stone that was highly valued in Ancient Egypt. The wondrous stone was often used for the creation of canopic jars and sacred objects, including the sarcophagus of Seti I, one of Egypt’s rulers and father of Ramesses II. Today, alabaster is still widely used in Egypt to make household objects. Analogue's alabaster collection upholds these traditional forms while pushing the boundaries of the material, creating ultra-thin, sleek tableware.
