There is no other ancient civilization of which we know about woodworking more than ancient Egypt. Egyptian wood furniture was so highly prized that it was often sent as a tribute to rulers of other civilizations. Tables, chairs, bed frames, boxes for cosmetics, crates, and even burial tombs, were a few of the objects that were often carved and made from wood.
